Howdy Everybody,

I am happy to announce and invite you all to our new and improved annual event “Poker with Pals & Purpose”.

We started this little game night over six years ago under the premise of hanging out
with friends and taking each other’s money. It moved into a business development
event, hosting clients and friends and taking each other’s money. It is now morphed into a charity event which will help fund AHEPA Chapter 145 and their participation in the community of sharing with a variety of non-profits and taking on a new meaningful philanthropic approach to taking each other’s money.

When and Where:

Saturday, October 18th , 2025 – 4:30pm
The AHEPA Chapter 145 LODGE (Upstairs meeting space)

6675 E. Tennessee Ave.
Denver, CO 80224

We would like to see everyone arrive around 4:30pm to get settled in, grab a bite, mingle with our friends and colleagues before tournament play begins at 6pm sharp. It will last until it’s over, roughly midnight.

Dinner will be an all-you-can-eat catered buffet-style meal provided by Cracovia Polish- American Restaurant and our host from Cracovia has generously donated a selection of house infused vodkas to be passed around during the event. We will also have a variety of local brews, spirits and N/A options to choose from included in the entry price. You may bring a non-poker player guest to spectate and enjoy Polish cuisine, but they are
subject to the $65 feast fee. Please RSVP guests with your entry to allow for
appropriate counts.

Our Texas Hold’em style tournament play will be dealt by hired professionals to keep
the integrity of the game as well as the pace.
$200 initial donation entails traditional “all-in” game play with timed progressive antes, until all players but one have been eliminated, and is declared the champion. Broken down as ($30 to AHEPA Chapter 145 Charity Foundation, $65 for dinner, drinks, dealers, waitstaff, and venue, $105 to the main distribution pot).

If you are eliminated early with zero chips left, anytime during the tournament and
choose to do such, you may rebuy unlimited times up to a set time established by the
dealers the night of the event. $100 each additional donation. ($5 to the AHEPA
Chapter 145 Charity Foundation, $90 to the pot, $5 to the dealer’s tip pool).

One chip boost donation will be offered to every player with chips remaining prior to
ending all rebuys, at the time designated by the dealers for an additional $150. ($10 to
the AHEPA Chapter 145 Charity Foundation, $130 to the pot, $10 to the dealer’s tip pool).

Please bring cash and extra cash for all event-related purchases, as last year got
difficult with everyone wanting to Venmo me for rebuys, I can no longer be your ATM.

There are NO ATMs at the Lodge, please bring cash!!!

Payout will be as follows:
70% of remaining total of pot to Champion
30% of remaining pot to second place
$150 off the top of pot to third place
Please RSVP to jnagelo@yahoo.com as soon as possible to get headcounts for dinner and players.

Deadline to enter is October 11th, so we can help the restaurant plan for food. First come, first served basis.

If you have friends who may want to play, let me know asap.

We are limited to 5 tables of 9 (45), so please register quickly to reserve your spot.
If you’d like to prepay to reserve your spot you may Venmo me $200 for the initial
donation @Jdnagelo99.
Thank you all in advance for coming and supporting AHEPA Chapter 145 in our support
of all our local communities and charities.

If you or your organization would like to sponsor some of the costs or make additional
contributions, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We would love corporate sponsors to
help with the cause.
